In addition to a direct flight or cruise that stops in the Dominican Republic, you can also travel by ferry from Puerto Rico.  Be advised that there is a $10 tourist fee that must be paid when you enter the country – this fee is included in airfare prices, but you’ll need to be aware if you’re traveling by alternate methods.

The Colonial District of Santo Dominica features fabulous shopping for tourists, as well as outdoor restaurants where you can relax, eat and enjoy the beautiful weather.  Dominican Republican resorts range from all-inclusive resorts featuring golf courses, spas and swim-up bars, to intimate options that make the perfect island getaway.

The Dominican Republic offers a wealth of activities for tourists and travelers to enjoy.  In addition to the snorkeling, swimming and tanning at some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, you may decide to spend a day horseback riding, hiking to waterfalls or visiting one of the many clubs for a night of dinner and dancing.
