British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands are a popular Caribbean vacation for those who love boating and sailing. Made up of dozens of tiny islands, both inhabited and uninhabited, the weather is tropical and mild, the waters are calm and the trade winds moderate. Experienced sailors and first-timers alike can enjoy a British Virgin Islands vacation, whether they bring their own boat or take advantage of one of the many charter companies.

Vacationers enjoying a British Virgin Islands trip can also take advantage of fantastic scuba diving or surfing, or enjoy some recreational fishing – make sure you get a British Virgin Islands fishing permit! And every July 4th weekend, the annual HiHo windsurfing race provides excitement for participants and onlookers alike. And make sure that at least one night of your British Virgin Islands trip is spent on a beach, watching one of the glorious sunsets.
Not surprisingly, most British Virgin Island restaurants specialize in seafood, but tourists can enjoy cuisine influenced by international flavors, including French, Asian, Indian or Italian. There are a number of British Virgin Island hotel options to meet any price range, from resorts and bungalows on the larger islands to a berth in your own bunk if you’re truly adventurous!
While there are a few car rental agencies in the British Virgin Islands, travel is primarily done on boat, foot or by ferry – and the view alone from a ferry is worth the price!
