Whether you are looking to find a secluded beach all to yourself or luxuriate at a full-service resort, the Bahamas most likely have just the right travel accommodations for you. While Nassau and Freeport have opportunities for the traveler looking for the bright lights of casinos and exquisite dining provided by celebrity chefs, the outer islands have a more relaxing, “get away from it all” feel.

Nassau, the Bahamas capital on New Providence Island, offers its visitors a beautiful blend of old and new, with an exciting nightlife, historical sightseeing opportunities, and shopping with a decidedly tropical flair. Children can take advantage of the magic acts while acrobats, while there are dinner cruises and theaters sure to appeal to the entire family. Meanwhile, neighboring Paradise Island provides an adult playground unrivaled anywhere else in the Caribbean.
Freeport, on the Island of Grand Bahama, has a very different feel from its capital counterpart. While Nassau is a historical hotbed that has developed into a tourist destination, Freeport was specifically designed to be the latter. Long stretches of pristine white beaches grace much of the island. Other areas are perfect for doing some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the entire Caribbean.
Both Grand Bahama and New Providence tempt travelers with world-class hotels and resorts, and many cruiselines make these islands a common stop on their way through the Caribbean islands.
