The most attractive aspect of Aruba is the diversity of experiences it offers to travelers. The small size of this island belies the myriad activities and opportunities the locals make available to tourists. While only 120 square miles (193 square km) in area, Aruba has something for everyone. The picturesque beaches will not leave visitors disappointed, and the sights around the island are enough to leave the most experienced traveler sated.

For adults, the island boasts great shopping and a fantastic nightlife, from tropical bars to glitzy casinos. Children will have plenty of activities to choose from as well, such as snorkeling, diving, and ATV rentals along the beautiful coast line.
Although the natural beauty, and sight-seeing of Aruba are tough to beat, this is not a destination for travelers wanting to stay off the beaten path. Aruba gets around half a million tourists coming through each year, and the hotels, restaurants and shops that crowd the island have sprung up to accommodate those growing throngs. The cruise ships that often crowd Oranjestad Harbour also attest to the growing popularity of this tiny, beautiful Caribbean island.
