Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua is a beach-lover’s paradise. According to travel brochures, this West Indian island’s beaches number over three hundred, reportedly exactly 365, one for every day of the year. (During the first tourism development of the island, that number was 52, which still provides a beautiful beach for every weekend.) The staggering amount of marine life off these many beaches has been compared to a “natural supermarket”.

The beauty of Antigua and its sister island, Barbuda, lies not only in its plethora of gorgeous beaches. The many fishing and sailboats dot the aquatic landscape with an array of color normally seen only in paintings, and the variety of colors extends to the island, where the colors of the houses, hotels, and businesses speck the rich green of the island.
While the beaches are the greatest draw for tourists to Antigua and Barbuda, the attractions of nightlife, sightseeing, and land and water sports make these beautiful islands incredibly tempting Caribbean destinations.
